apple vs. microsoft the death match....

ok... so the title is WAY over the to but basically yesterday my dad looked into buying a mac... which is weird cuz we both luv our PC's... with windows... so we were looking and the widows homepage has almost the same layout as the mac layout..... that apple made first.... so.... why is microsoft taking the ideas from a smaller company? like apple??? hmmm....? Here is the windows Vista main page and Here is the Apple Mac OS X webpage did you see the top nav bar? simularities? yep. for once in my life i am actually saying that apple could be better... did you see their main page christmas thing? hilarious! plus you can watch the guided tour so much easier on the mac then on the windows... this from the only pc buying family... plus the new vista is supposed to be REALLY slow...

piano jumping

ok, so for like 2 years my da has had this steinway large piano being made for him. it like a '40 so purty old.... and it came today! its like HUGE.... it takes up most of the living room.... now i kinda wish i hadn't given it up.... but i do mandolin so its not like i dont do music.... anyway... i jumped skipper! yay!!! it wasn't high but its the first time i've jumped him.... yay!!! also we watched the whole office year 3 again today... it rox.... and u schould c doctor who. its cool. =)

cars & Kitties

ok, so a lot has happened in the last couple of days...
1. we got into a car crash. *gasp* but it wasn't really bad because we were waiting in a traffic line at a red light and the car behind us speeded up instead of slowing down so they ran into the back of our car. the cars scrapped up and a little dented but everyone is okay.
2. I'm petsitting for Netty's cats! yay! they are adorable.... awww....

mice in our house!

so we were moving the old fish tank and underneathe it there was a whole in the wall and TONS of mice droppings. so now we r putting up live traps to catch them.
did i write about my science fair project? i WAS sseeing if wild or domestic mice were smarter but i couldn't catch any wild mice, so i went to out of gerbile, mice or hamsters which one is the smartest? but now i found out we have wild mice in our house, and i didnt know it before, so now i changed my project AGAIN. *sigh*

Which is smarter- Mice, Gerbils or Hamsters?

To test intelligence in rodents, I will check their memory by running my Mice, Gerbils and Hamsters thorough two types of mazes, one that tests their short-term memory and one that tests their long-term memory.

The T-maze tests their long-term memory. I will place a treat in only one side of the “T” I will have them run thorough it and always go to that one particular side. Then after they get comfortable with this, I will place a reward in both sides and see if they still go to the same side or if they are indecisive and not sure which one to take.

To test their short-term memory I will run them thorough the Radial arm maze, first I will place a treat in each “arm” and they will go around eating all the treats, if they visit the same area twice then they have forgotten where they have already gone.

im going to chicago later on today and my grandma's house has NO internet connection! *sniff* im gonna die! and the talent show wasn't great. we only razed 750.00 pathetic, huh? last year we raised 2000 but then we had half as much kids. and the teacher was like "how much do you think we raised?" and everyone's like "a thousand!" cuz thats what we assumed it was. i felt kind of sorry for her. we all felt terrible cuz we weren't a good as last year.

now i have four cages in my room , one for my gerbil one for the insane mouse and the runt and one for the murderer and another for the other killer. (they were fighting. the murderer in actually cannibalistic. and the other one is just mean. ) and my room smells.

mice

Now i only have four mice. Two of them killed another. so now i have two tanks. One for the bullies (murderers) and one for the nice ones (they are brother and sister.) but we just realized the main murderer (they both ate the mouse but only one killed it) is probably pregnant which is why al the other mice are hungry. The mean mouse would guard the food and attack anyone who tried to eat. and he hogged the water.
My two nice mouses well, one is really tine and adorable and i have to hand feed it. and the other is insane. it runs around in circles. then it stops and eats. then it runs in circle's again. its really sad to see. my science fair project isn't going well because i have NO wild mice and my domestic mice are either dead, runts, murderers or insane. Also Gerbils LOVE mozarilla cheese. I got some for the mice as well as some apples and Tawnypaw liked the cheese more than them.

the school decided that the play we were doing was to long so now we are doing another play and i only have one line! easy to memorize but.... oh well. we will do the other play for the dinner theatre. (yeah my school does alot of this stuff.)

my sister cut half of her hair up to her ear. the rest is still really long (if you haven't seen her her hair reaches down to her butt) now we have to go to as beautician and get it styled. she didn't want her hair short. but my mom told her if you don't brush your hair its gonna have to be cut. an empty threat you know? she has said that for 5 years. but now once has zoe actually cut her hair!

Poor Rocky

I missed sunday school cuz rocket was bleeding all over my moms sheets. we didnt know what it was. thought it was a bladder infection. we went to the emergency vet and while we were waiting we realized its his left back foot that is hurting him. also he peed on the floor twice. once when the vet checked his gums and twice when she was putting the lampshade "E-collor" on him. when i told my sister it looked like a lampshade she thought i meant the literal lampshade and thought that th vets had to go find a lampshade and stick it in Rocky's head. Rockets paw is gross and bleeding. and he cant run for 5 days. and if you've met him you know how hyper he is! Poor Rocky Baby He keeps on running into things. (My sister decorated the E-collor with glow-in-the-dark spaceship stickers, Rocky's dignity is ruined)

Sukkah

Yesterday we had a Sukkah party. we had cake and caramel apples. it wuz funnish. Then me and Emmy and Rosa made fun of H & the P and then to cleanse our minds listened to the Beatles and talked about John Lennon. Did you know his last word was "yes" when the police officer asked him if he was John Lennon. Stupid Police officer you should have saved him. If he survived you could have gotten his autograph! grr... I have Sunday School soon so may leave mid sentence. Im almost finished with my moms schools website! yay! its taken me like forever cuz the schools not using Freewebs.com (thats where i usually make my websites) also i think i spelt sukkah wrong. so dont kill me. yay! as of tommorrow ive been on a month. toodles.

Veggie!

i just thought that maybe the reason ive been sleeping in is cuz i've been growing! I sure hope so. I'm REALLY short. also I realized I've been talking about Human Rights and not Animal Rights. But i mean really,
If we cant Save ourselves how are we gonna save a totally different species? If you believe that you may leave now and feel content about killing animals.
If yoy have gotten this far that means that you probably love animals! Go veggie! Actually dont go entirely veggie at the beginning slowly become veggie or else you get sick. Not enough Protein and all. But eat Tofu! Everyone says it tastes gross but actually its really good. Also its hard to go veggie when you dont have a reason. I talk from Experience. Also I still eat Lamb. I know its sick. How can I eat the little sheep running happily in the green fields. But I dont eat Birds. I raised chickens, turkeys,and pheasants. And named them all, they all had personalities. I raised CorkScrew with an EyeDropper because he couldnt eat. But Now he grew big and strong! (well at least big for a pheasant) Also Michelle was his riend she was a red chicken. Her mom got eaten so me and emmy raised her! She was so much bigger than CorkScrew but followed him around EVERYWHERE! She seemed to think he was her mommy. Also CorkScrew was really Fast (all pheasants are but he was really fast) and like Michelle would try as hard as she could to follow him but never quite made it. (chickens arent the fastest creatures in the world.) And Ducks have a sence of humor. (I know I spelt that wrong) Also if you think
G-d Created animals for people to eat. You are wrong. He/She created animals so that we could care for them and LUV them! (Anyone who has a pet will agree with me. They don't deserve to be stuck on a platter.)

Sory I havent been posting. i am very Stressed out. I have a math test today, i had a science test yesterday and I need to study for a Spanish test. I am posting a very short message so that you will know I haven't abandoned you. Crap its almost seven. i need to go.

Why?

Why do people always hate? I mean seriously look at a time line. We mark it by wars, World War 1 , World War 2, the Holocaust, but you cant count the Holocaust as a war. It was more of a making of Slaughter Houses. How would you like a lampshade made of your enemy's skin? Great addition to your living room, huh? People who fought the Holocaust are still alive today, as well as Nazi's and people who manged to escape the concentration camps. People still want to do it again, dont teach the Holocaust as History over and done with. Why do we always hate people who aren't like us? We hate the Jews, Woman and African Americans. If you aren't an adult christian white man then you are a slave, or a lampshade. Maybe a wife? Naw. if you think the world is fine and dandy you need to see a doctor. But, you say, that was all in the past! Yes of course I forgot, Now Americans just pretend nothing is happening. In thirteen years , 2020, The ice will have melted so much that the sea will rise 11-15 inches. But of course thats only if we keep on at the rate we're going. And don't you dare tell me ethanol will save all our problems, to make ethanol the machines use so much gas that you are hurting the world more! What is it with people? We need to kill all the people, and destroy the world. Unless we want a world of cockroaches and very lucky rats, nuclear bombs are gonna kill all civilization! Just Drop it and Back away slowly. and then we cant even feed all of our citizens. If you are a protector of Mr. President Bush you may leave now. In fact if you are his supporter I bet you left a long time ago. (Are you the people flagging my blog?) Like taking the Grizzly's of the endangered list. If you do that they will all die. They;ve been making a great recovery but now lets just kill them all! And Iraq! I have a friend who's extended family all live in Iraq. Her cousins and an uncle have died from shootings. Cross Country

Today I was the cheer-leader for the my school's cross-country. i just love the pom-poms... no seriously. Emmy's mom took me ,emmy , tess and naomi to the Cross Country Meet. None of us placed. But Bokium got 24th out of like 57 or something. Kat got 25, and Liliana got 25 in the older race. The course was weird looking and all us "cheer-leaders" screamed our heads off. Liliana was sad though cuz last year she got 6th place in the same place. but then she was the oldest in the young kid group and now shes the youngest in the oldies group. (Little kids is like 10+ she wasnt racing 3rd graders last year) and i totally forgot about the horse thing a while ago so do u mind if i give it up? not that anyone EVER reads this *hem,hem* (geez.... i wonder why couldnt be cuz this is dead boring could it? no... of course not...)so comment if u read this.

Shots

no i am not an under aged drinker. I went to the doctors. sorry to ruin your great plans of finging out im alcoholic. and i had two shots. and they bled alot. pain. but u know whats good? the person who gave me shots owned a horse! yay! She was the person who gave me a shot last time. this time i was wearing a horse shirt and she comes in and goes "oh u like horses!" and im like yeah. and we talked about the stables i go to and how much we loved horses and them she said " well the shots are done" isnt that cool? then i got uber-cool snoopy band-aids! *cough,cough* but my left arm still hurts and when i took the bandaids of this morning there was a ton of blood. whoever knew a tiny lil prick would be so bloody? eww...

Spanish

OMG! The spanish teacher lost her key to all the answers and so everyone was looking for it at school all the girls cubbies (i go 2 an all girls private school reason for cubbies and not lockers) were searched and everyone wondered who stole it. Then after school My mom (the principle) decided to check Senora ******'s cart (I wasn't cussing just making sure she doesn't get angry if by chance she gets the link to the blog and comes after me with a butcher's knife) The Key was in her cart the whole time! aren't that funny? If you dont believe me ask! They'll tell you. (unless u happen to be in india, china, australia or africa.)

Cat Fight

There is a new cat in the neighborhood and my cats were just fighting with it. They wouldn't stop ever when we (me and my mom) screamed. We brought Rocket out but he likes cats and just started gnawing on a bone. Rather disappointed I got out a squirt gun and proceeded to shower the cats. then Rocket came in the other cat ran and all was good. Actually I'm not sure if it was the other cat who ran cuz it was all dark outside... oh, well.... sorry i didnt post yesterday i had 2 study for my spanish test. and someone keeps flagging this blog. Please tell me whats inappropriate about my life? This is like a diary. You cant X-Rate diary peeps. geez....

Cake

We went to a wedding. We also hosted a bakesale for our school. (my mom's the principal) I had alot of cake in one day. =) actually I ate more brownies and cookies at the bakesale. My mom made these awesome lemon squares and my brownies sold! yay! I have no HomeWork cuz i did it all friday and I am so happy! Im Free! Also we had a block party yesterday and me kat and andy prank called andy's to-be-boyfriend. all in the name if chocolate. so i had a good day yesterday. I also bought a bonzi tree. i dont know how to spell "bonzi" so sorry em. if you ever go on. tell me if you do so i can be suprised. bye!

CockRoach

My P.E. Teacher calls me cockroach because when he said 'there are cockroaches in the GYM me and my friend were talking and I said "yay!" to her statement not his. But I couldn't tell him I wasn't listening so he thought I was talking about the cockroaches so it has stuck. And he still calls me cockroach four years later! Mt school is going to the Farmer's Market to sell cookies! Yay! I made Brownies that didn't explode like my soup!

This is the Jewish New Year! its like 5000 something. Isn't tat cool? It means you get lots of honey and apples and my mom makes a round Challah. The US New Year is coming up as well and so I get to celebrate both! Yahoo! (and not the company) I don't have to go to school today but I have to go to synagogue and pray for the whole day! *sigh...* & someone plz IM me im SO bored...

Im sorry about yesterdays post. todays might me a littl short as well butwhen school stops I will make up for it... big time!
If you are in America and read this you probably know what a sad day yesterday was. 9/11 in when the planes crashed into New York. There were three crashing's all aimed at great American buildings. But in Philadelphia they crashed into a corn field because the people on the plane over rode the terrorist and made it fall in a cornfield. Because of their heroic deed none of the Senator's or our great President died. (I will give you time to mutter what a shame....)
The one in New York at 8:46 EAU time and 7:46 my time is the most famous. I was only little then but it made all America weep. Imagine all the people in the plane's calling on their cell phone's to their loved one's for the last time.

The world and Racism

im going off my huge pet thing because its a school day and I don't have that much time to jabber on. Have you ever noticed that However much we say racism has gone we are only turning a blind eye to it? In children's lunchroom's things are segregated. And because the children do this it means their parents taught them to, if not purposefully but with their body language.
And even Woman and Men still aren't equal, if woman can work they get paid 60- 80 cents for every dollar a man makes. Who's to say they aren't doing as good a job as the man? More woman go to college then men now adays.
"Men with children appear to get an earnings boost, whereas women lose earnings. Men with children earn about 2% more on average than men without children, according to the GAO findings, whereas women with children earn about 2.5% less than women without children." -Thanks to GAO Report Click for link
But how come women's work isn't as valued? The earnings a woman makes in a week are 3/4 of what a man makes. And men with children gets paid 2% more then usual but woman make 2.5% less than usual. But others disagree, they say that it is because woman want more time and men want more money. For more on this subject go Here. But that doesn't explain why woman and men working equal hours are still paid differently. But in some jobs woman get 5% more and in some jobs men get 5% more here are the jobs woman are better is:

I forgot about the horse fact. Oh well. Also my great Idea to not jabber on about animals turned on to jabber on about Woman's rights. Oh well. Lets go Woman's rights!

Pets-Cats

When I was little around two I would sit in my high-chair and look out the window. At that time we had six cats and they were indoor outdoor cats. But we still left a little bit of cat food out for them. Then the little cat would come up and eat their food and then walk away. I could see all of this from my spot in the high-chair. Eventually I would say " luk is a babby cat!" My parents thought I was just playing around. And then they saw him. He was a starved little tabby only a month or so old. We took him in and kept him. And we named him Baby Cat. And whenall of out old cats (yep, all six of them) eventually died we thought that Baby Cat might appreciate a little cat friend I was probably five or six at that point. So we got Nadia from the Humane Society. Nadia is a tourtous shell calico and very pretty. She is also a little.... exuberant and as my dad would say foul. She also ate fowl. We have dead birds in our yard all the time. She has three bells on her collar, all they did is make her slinkier. So the Humane Society said that because nobody wanted her they would kill her. She's an affectionate cat but she will scratch you, and if she doesn't get her way not-so-lightly nibble on your hand. BabyCat is like three/four pounds over weight and Nadia is very slim if not a little under weight. We also had leather couches. Did I mention Nadia isn't de-clawed? The reason of this is because Baby Cat and another cat named SugarPlum get in fights. They are both very large neutered males. Its the names that put you off. SugarPlum sounds like a ballerina and Baby Cat sounds like a cute little kitten. Here are some Pictures: One is of Nadia in my sisters room. She has a good camouflage. The other is Baby Cat yowling into the camera. And the horse thing is that there are many different ways to put on a bridle.

Pets-Gerbils

I just realized I havent told you about my pets! ok I own two cats Nadia and Babycat (Babycat is old and fat) We own a dog named Rocket (but I call him Rocky-Baby) We own a Lizard named Gertie we own various fish and a gerbil named TawnyPaw plus a toad called Trevor. but sadly Sir Trevor the Toad of Tree is dead as of 2006. But hers a Picture anyway
That is TawnyPaw to the right. I have so many animal stories it would be impossible to tell them all in one day so today i will talk about gerbils. I got my first Gerbils when I was 8 , one called Vanilla and one called Caramel. They were sisters Caramel once bit me and i yanked my hand out of the cage with her still hanging on. She landed on my bed but I was very careful after that. Later we decided to move back to America. So I left my darling rodents in London and moved. After that I wanted another pet. So we got a guinea pig named Cocoa. However my dad my mom and my sister were all alergic to her so we had to give her back to the pet shop. Then we got two other sisters one black and one white. I named the Black one Scamber (like in Harry Potter) and the White one Scamper. The first time I picked Scamper up I picked her up by the tip of the tail like the pet stor lady told me to do. well as you may have guessed her tail fell off! Then she went running around the room leaving blood everywhere! I was kind of freaked out by this but eventually caught her. Scamper grew up to be one of the best gerbils I ever had. She would stop and come on command. She was the best trained gerbil I have ever seen. Sadly the escaped from her cage (Her nickname was Houdini) and ate the varnish on the tableshe and Scamber's cage was on. A few days later she died. She only lived to three years old. Scamber was left alone. We got another gerbil named Oreo but Scamber was defensive and wouldn't let Oreo in her cage because Oreo smelled weird. WE tried to take Oreo back but she didn't smell like the pet store gerbils anymore either. Her own siblings turned on her when she smelled different. So we kept her in a separate cage. Six months later Scamber died on her wheel. She had loved Scamper so much. Then Oreo was alone. Here is a picture of Oreo. I have better ones and will post those another day. Oreo had a Black head a white stomack and a black rump. Kind of like the cookie. One day we found a mouse. (I will tell this story another day) We kept him naming him Peanut. Then we got TawnyPaw when Oreo was three years old. TawnyPaw knows how to do a high five! He has a crick in his tail but is very cute. He can also perform tricks. Here are some Photos of Him posing as a cowboy, as well as starring in A Witches Soup and Jonah and the Whale. the fact of the day is that you should eather walk really far away from a horses back legs or go really close with your hand on their rump. You should go close because then they dont have the impact space to be able to kick you.

life in general...

if you read this its amazing. your lucky to be alive. if you have read any of my old ones you can probably figure out that they are all like this one. boring stupid and boring. this blog is about my life. can you tell?
So apart from the depressing parts my life is good. yesterday we went to a party and we caught a live cicada and it walked on our hands. wuz cool.
My dad wont let me say my age so I will generalize. I am much older than 5+5 and not much younger than 20-5. If you can do the math. I suck at it. I'm bored someone IM me. oh yeay the thing about horses is.... they have 4 legs. in fact i bet you guys could care less about the horses. I mean this was supposed to be about my passionate love for SeaBiscuit but its not working out. I used to keep a diary but my hand hurt after a while and I ran out of paper. plus i am a super computer nerd. I'm currently making the website for my school. I luv making websites but this time I get paid! I also am (pretty) fluent in hebrew because I started learning it in my synagogue at age 3. Thats more than 10 years! I also take mandolin. My mom's the principal of my school and my dads a professor. I luv horse-riding at the stables I go to. I usually ride skipper. He hurt his foot cuz he was pawing at the food and the rusty feed thing stuck in just above the hoof. then he ran around the pasture and it got deeper and deeper. Now he has a cast on for like two months. So I am riding Kaity who is just as good. But she wont take the bit so I have to use a different kind of brindle on her. Kaity is an Arabian mix. She is white with little dappled grey spots. Skipper is a mix of alot of things but is mistly brown with white spots. He's a gelding but still has the temperment of a stallion. He is sweet when you love him though! sometimes he uses me as a scratching post and rubs his head all over me. Then you tell him to stop cuz im like falling over and he looks at me with his wonky one blue eye one brown eye. The reason one eye is blue is because there is a white patch that overlaps around that eye and it is the fur that makes the eyes change. Thats a pretty good fact so it'll be the fact of the day. cool. Maybe I'll get a picture of skippy one day.

ok, so the titles random but that never hurt no one. (but trust me, in real life my grammar aen't that bad) hell, ( + o) im even doing spell check! but this isnt about my writting(well, not much anyway.)
Here is a picture of a duck i took. i felt like putting up a picture that was un-horse like just so u know i have a life other then being with horses. (so what if the non-horse life is pretty sad. i do have an existence without my furry four legged motorcycles. just not much... *_* ) the horse like thing of today is to let your horse sniff your armpit. that lets them know you better.
