To the list of a-mazing things Alpha can do, now add "Save the world" alright maybe a bit of an exaggeration but possibly human lives "16,005 people were killed in the United States in alcohol-related motor vehicle traffic crashes (BAC of .01 or higher)." well maybe that number will go down because of Alpha.
If you ask Alpha "Am I too drunk to drive?" It lets you calculate by how many drinks you've had, your gender, your weight,etc. Maybe this will stop people from drinking and driving all though, if youre that drunk will you really be sober enough to search it on Alpha? And then not drive? I doubt it but it is a noble try and maybe will save a life or too.

Alpha: Homework Killer
(as you may have noticed I'm pretty into the Wolfram Alpha thing lol)
I've seen all these things saying Alpha is horrible and not as good as google but hasn't anyone realized? Alpha has great potential as a homework killer. For everyone who couldn't buy Mathematica before, now you can get a simpler version for free on the web! I have already learnt so much for example: Did you know a "happy" was a fish? I searched "happy" thinking I would get the word and I got the fish! You learn something everyday....
You can use it for:

- Math (for obvious reeasons and it does algebra!!)
- English (Just type in the word for grammar etc)
- Biology (Type in the animal name and get ALL the scientific stuff, I could never have gotten all that information on google and its a lot more reliable than Wikipedia)
- History (Just type in a date and get everything that happened then)
- Stocks (Not really a class but if your interested in the stock market its very useful. Some of the data is a little old so you have to check but Alpha has just started it will soon be up-to-date)
- Music (You can search composers, or type in a key name)
- Like everything!!

Meet Alphy(Wolfram Alpha) The AI:
- Ask "where am I?" tells you where you live. Kind of scary when you think about it...
- Ask "How old are you?" Tells you how many days it has been running
- Ask "How are you?" and talk to Alphy.
- Ask "Who made you? tells you "I was created by Stephen Wolfram and his team."
- Ask "What do you like?" tells you "I like to explore the computational universe."
- Ask "What is your name?" tells you
- Ask "Where are you?" tells you it lives on the internet.

I have read all these things comparing Google to Alpha.
On a forum website I saw someone who "tested" both Google and Alpha by searching on both of them a song on YouTube. Google "won" because it came up with the correct link to the song while Alpha said "Wolfram|Alpha isn't sure what to do with your input." But that is an INSANE "test" because Alpha isn't a search-engine. Its no trying to be a search-engine, its not trying to compete with google, because they are completely different. Alpha gives you information, it can do lots of hard math, tell you the scientific name, taximony and more on animals, etc. It does NOT search websites, it searches it's database which is getting bigger all the time. People complain that some of the information dates back to 2006, but that will soon change. Alpha has just started and has so much potential.
