we took the kitten to the Humane society. shell get adopted quick, shes So adorable. tho she poops alot. We kept her in our house for a little over a week because we thought my friend would take it but in the end she didnt =(
we think someone abandoned her, she loves to play and is the sweetest. Name is Lucy, so go adopt her! lol

just got back from allerton overnigt fieldtrip. it rained the WHOLE time, we made a slip and slide rolling down tehe mud to the huge puddles. it wuz fun but MESSY, make-up was like streaming off us.

The kitten under our deck comes out if you meow and we found out the gender. Shes a girl! she has a grey back with white cream paws and underbelly. SO cute only like 3 months old or something.

Sansa Sandisk

I finally got the Sansa Sandisk and i love it! Its a great device. Im gonna stop now so I can go back to fidling with it =)

we got out of our condo is aspen and are now staying with my aunt and uncle in boulder.

we got lost on a short 3 mile hike and took a wron turn for 6 miles. WE took a bus up the mountain and it stopped at 5. We started running up the wrong path to make the bus. by the time we walked back we all had blisters and my shoes which arent made for hiking are ruined. holes in the sides, muddy and soles coming off. We got back to the bus stop at 7:30 and hitchhiked back with a nice family. They also live in the same town where we live (in IL) they had people from germany their. German is a cool language...... im going 2 bed.

borrr-ing

Yesterday we actually did do something unlike what we thout cuz we woke up at 10 and read and then had Breakfast at 12 and then my dad had to leave to the Physics institute. we went to a town near aspen and we plammed to go to he museam and caves. But we saw rock shop and zoe wanted to go in and look at the fossils, and then we had a late lunch and when it was all over the museam was closed and when we looked at the brocure for the caves they had rodes and it looked pretty fake for alot of money so we decided to go home. Then we took a short hike then walked over to my Dad's work and went with him to a bbq restaurant which said they were great but wasn't that great really.

today we went one 3 hikes. but they were easy hikes and very beautiful. for one we hiked up 2 a lake on the top of a montain and on the way up we met another family from IL. They were playing Blues on a harmonica when we first saw them. When we got to the top it started hailing! It was freezing so we went back down. that one was only 2 miles or so. The second one was REALLY easy. like 1/3 of a mile but it took us a long time. u know why?? we did it blind. It was a trail for the blind with braille placks next to the typed english ones and a rail along the side for easy walking. It was cool. The third was not really hike.... It was a waterfall and ice caves! We climbed into the ice cave, (they dont have ice now, but they were very wet. They were carvwed out by ice) and took some awesome pictures!

Ghost town 2day!

On Tuesday we are going to do a tour of smuggler mountain. They found the biggest silver nugget ever there, guess how much it weighed? 1840 pounds!! Today we are going to an old mining ghost town, it sounds like alot of fun !

White Water Rafting

2day we went white water rafting. it was AWESOME!! its in 1 of those plastic blowupboats and u paddle it over rapids. we went over a 4ft waterfall!! (it wasnt actually that scary, but we got soaked) we had 1 boat 2 ourselves and my and my dad sat in the front so we got the most soaked. =)
Ours was rated a 2/3. on a scale up to 6. the 6 is the one where NOONE has survived going over it. SCARY!!!

Search for perfect non-mac MP3

In my search for the prefect non iPod mp3 i found
ISonic Snapbox X85
it looks good, costs less (75-90$) and does pictures, music, radio , video like I want but has absolutly NO reviews. if anyone has this please tell me, or if anyone has a link to a rating PLEASE tell me.
The Creative Zen V Plus looks like a good candidate, but I have heard that the buttons are hard to press and it fails to work after about a month.
I want something that will last with No moving parts (moving disk etc.)
and like 4+ GB in or around 100$...
The Sansa SanDisk is supposed to be really good but I have heard it doesnt last too long and the screen resolution isn't great....

The SanDisk looks better so I'm leaning towards it, but the real bummer ( :( ) is that its screen isnt very clear....

Kit Movie

welll.... its better then would be expected for am AG story? i menai used to lub americsan girl i even have 1 that looks like me with clothes and stuff....
parts of it were WAY cheesy but some of it was ok. and their were good actors....
we r going 2 see Journey to the Center of the Earth in a couple of days!

Horsies!!

i just got back from riding Nicki, and she's so sweet.
i was lunging her and stuff and pivoting her on her front and back feet and thwn i sat down on the big mounting block to rest cuz its SO hot out today and she comes up and puts her head in my lap! it was the cuteist EVER.
and then later on i walk over to get the lunging whipand she follows me. then i trotted with her. Its really fun. Its hard to d oit on the outside of the arena, so you have to stand on the inside( thats by the wall if u dont kno =) ) and lean forward a bit and cluck and then start slow jogging. Sometimes you have to jog in place for a little while. And the leaning forward really helps.... i donno why but it does. =)
she is SO cute.....
i LUV Nikki. and skipper. and buckley..... ok, so i luv 'em all *gives giant horsie hug* actually, i did hug her alot and so now im all human and horse sweaty with the arena dirt all over by WHITE Dr. Seuss shirt.... and the "P" chipped on my fingernails so now it looks like " Stoo the war "
and i was lunging so long that the whip cut my skin and on my left hand the skin peeled and i have a blister. and i made the mistake of mearing my riding boots so i have blisters on my big toes. but SO worth it =) at least i didnt wear my jodpurs... i wound have sweated to death, lol

fireworks

i dont have much internet time, but yesterday we saw some AWESOME fireworks!!
we went to a 4th of july perade and they had horses! some of ythem were from the masons society or what ever and this guy was trying to make his horse arch its neck and was pulling back so hard it was going backwards and he had a hard bit on. he wsa horrible. so my sister goes to me "whats wrong with that horse?" because it was tryingto toss its head and stuff, and i go "well hes not being ridden very well, his rider isnt very good and is hurting him" and the gut whos riding is like a couple feet in front of me and hes kind of looking shocked or whatever. so then they walk on and i call after himn "and i said it to your face! ohhh!" yeah it was fun. =) then other people walked their horses and these horses were happy qnad the peopel were from some society for reinacting cowboys and it was cool. the horses pooped a ton aqnd then some cleaner car came behind it and smearerd it and it was gross. then later on the HS cheerleaderscame through and did flips through it. lol (imn not a cheerleader kinda person)
so yeah.....
we r staying with my aunt carol and i got my nails done in red white and blue and they spell "Stop The War" only without spaces cuz idont have enough fingers. =) e also barbecued homemade pizza it was awesome! i never had it before but i LUV'd it!!! ok, wow. long post....

Movies: Wall-e and Get Smart

Walle was the BEST!
It was cute and sweet and funny and sad. Even if you hate Sci-Fi like my mom you will like it. Better then Finding Nemo goes right up their with the Toy Story and is more deep-ish then the Shrek's. The humans are lazy and don't think for them selves. They float around everywhere and never do any work. My dad thought they did to many jokes of of 2001: A space Oddessey and would have been better keeping straight to the theme of a robot love story.
You will love M-O , eve, walle and the pet cockroach (which isnt gross, its cute and more cricket like then cockroach-y)

Get Smart was ok, but we mostly saw it because Steve Carell was in it. He is much better in the TV show "the Office" though. It was ok, but wont be the kind of movie you watch again and again like Walle. Definatly a rental, dont way alot to go see it, you'll regret it....

i havent been on the computer for a while.
i was playing on HorseIsle.com as well as Howrse.com now and really like Horseisle.com even though i am a crappy player. =) but i still luv howrse i am just not spending ALL my time on it now =)

also today i was sitting on the coach reading with Rocket (our black lab 3 year old dog) decieded to semi-pee on me. so my jeans got nasty....

I am almost done with this book " With love from Baghdad " its about this puppy that gets adopted by the military people, Marines-or-something and they take care of him while they are fighting in Iraq. its really a) sweet b) sad and c) just plain out sweet. They are all "tough" or whatever but even a whimpering puppy breaks their hearts.
It makes me so sad. All those young soulders dying for glory-crap but all they are going to do is get killed.

Eight Belles died at the Kentucky Derby! right on the track!!and she was SECOND so CLOSE!!!! its horrible!!!!!!! the first filly to even come CLOSE to winning for TWENTY YEARS!!! and she was running with the guys!!! the ONLY filly!!!!!
look at the picture she almost beat Big Brown and she could have!!!! her jockey said that she started galloping funny so he stopped her and they had to put her to sleep. the last filly to win was Winning Colors, and that was like 20 years ago or something and fillies barely ever run and she died!! they had to euthanize her right on the track... poor Eight Belles.

In the book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee the main themes are prejudgment, dignity and doing the right thing. This also tells you a bit about human nature, it is not a particularly exaggerated book but it is not a happy bunny prancing through fields either. It is what one wold call the truth.

im not going to keep the intro. to my essay but i think its funny! heres the rest (its not done):

Many people in the book do things for the sake of their dignity for example Mayella Ewell says that Tom Robinson raped her to hide her shame, and “that a gang of wild animals can be stopped, simply because they're still human. ”

Discrimination Scout Tom Robinson

Some examples of when people do what is right are when Atticus takes the Tom Robinson court case, even though lots of people didn’t want him to. This goes so far that some of the town’s people gang up on Atticus, and Mr. Ewell spits at Atticus’s face, all because he is defending an African American.

There is a lot of prejudgment in the book some of the main being the assumption that Mayella Ewell is right just because she is white even though all the evidence supports Tom Robinson and Atticus.

ok, so we lost rocket in the forest so my mom goes looking for him. 15 min. later Rocket comes running back to us, so we call for my mom but she doesnt come. so we dont have the leash my mom does. so my dad holds rockets collar for 2.5 miles back to the car. and we wait for her, and she forgot to bring her cellphone. so we wait for an hour and a half for my mom to come running back. she had run for 5 miles all around the forest looking for Rocket. by that time it was 6 o-clock and i had to go to a party that started at 5.
the good thing is that yesterday was beautiful! it was so warm i didnt need a coat or jumper!! now i have hebrew school. bye1!!

its so pretty outside... and her i am doing (or not doing) math homework. i have to use the computer because i lost my calculator and so have to use grand ol' google. isnt it awesome they have a calculator? yeah i updated my ridethestarz.piczo.com website so take a look! it looks even better then before. =) (i kno aren't i modest??) i went on a bike ride 2day its SO pretty! and warm, to think that yesterday i fell on the ice and smashed my butt. which is a funny story in itself. see, i'm walking rocket and then this little yappy dog comes running across the street and itslike "yap-yap-yap" and rocket looks at it and he's like 4 times his size and the owner is screaping "who let pippy out??" isn't that a crap name for a dog? yeah, it is. ok so then we continue walking and rocket starts running and i slip and full on my butt. because another little dog is running up and this time Rocket is like pulling me and i'm kinda skating on the ice. it was cool but painful. and tommorrow in monday. i hate mondays, if their was a worst day it would definatly be either sunday night (but thats not really a day) or monday especially in the morning. grrr.... also saturday and fri. were Unofficial Saint Patricks day(s) the University gave out like a billion tickets and everyone was wearing green and drunk. march madness. and they closed a couple bars. ha ha! sigh... now back to math....

Happy Valetines Day! I'm on a sugar high.... the cats just had a cat fight.... not with each other but with the cat across the street. he/she keeps coming into our yard.i keep on running outside and freezing off my feet my screaming and throwing water on the intruding cat.

we dont have to give Nadia away! turns out she had a bladder infection so it wasn't her fault she was peeing everywhere. also i wanna see juno, 27 dresses and Across the universe. u seenthem? i wanna....
and their were 11 inches on rain and our sump pump stopped working.... so anyway our furnished basement floated 2 inches. thankfully we got a plumber, but it was a flash flood so in 15 minutes the piano and couches were floating. and all our computers are downstairs and its all mildewy so i'm typing on a laptop upstairs. =) and i haven't been able to get to a computer so sorry i havent been posting.... heh.... * flashes guilty grin*
today i met this kid who looked my age (mind you i'm short) but i later found out was like 10. im freaked out, his mom said the doctor said that he would be taller then his older brother (whos in collage) and 6'3 by the time he was 16. ok so.... my mom was doing the fish tank and she accidentally put the beta in cold water while cleaning out the tank. so the beta "Zen" died, after 3 happy years. so now we are going to get a google-eyed fish...
also, Nadia peed all over my moms fancy work shoes and my dads briefcase, and the just-done-laundry. and she's been peeing for months now. we had to redo all the carpeting in our house and turn it to wood, because of her peeing. so, after 6 years of having her my dad wants us to put her to sleep. i love her so much, that i said if we couldn't have her, to give her to another family (preferably that we know) that doesn't have a dog (she only started peeing when she realized the dog was here to stay) so if you want a tortoise-shell kittycat....

Dog Bites

You know how in cheesy cartoons the dog always bites the character's butt? well, my sister was ata party and their were tons of girls goofing around in their pj's and zoe reaches out to stroke the dog, and it turns around and bites her side. so, cuz its on her butt, she doesn't want the person there to wash it. So, now its infected. But she can't go to the doctor's cuz then the will have to tell him that A dog bit her and then the dog would be put to sleep. But it's her Best Friend's dog so she doesn't want to be responsible for killing it. complicated ... have any ideas?

Pathetic. anyway be warned, if you like the chief and own one of those "The chief lives on... in our hearts" pins, or badges beware. the chief died! it was so racist, it's like as my dad put it "the Germans having their mascot as a dancing rabbi, pretending to sing troupe" it would be rude and racist. and thats exactly what we did with chief illiniwok we made fun of him. It is NOT a great tradition making fun of other religions and beliefs... i can't believe it lasted so long. I hate those "It's a great tradition." and "The chief lies in our hearts" people. it's like WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!? ok, rant over...

Rosebowl: U of I vs. USC

it was obvious from the beginning that we would lose. but at least we got there. I like the Illini more, now that they got rid of the Chief. That was so derogatory... i can't believe he lasted that long.
but anyway, we all knew USC would win, it was more of a "how much will they win by?" and it turns out it was ALOT 49-17. My uncle was so pleased (he went to USC) but we caught up, a bit. for a while it was 14-0 and then 20-3. So I'm pleased we even managed to score. So we got pummeled, but not as much as we expected. c'mon like we could win? pur-leez...

Movie: National Treasure: Book of Secrets

Yesterday we watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets it was ok... i mean , i wasn't expecting an amazing movie but still it was kind of pathetic, and cheesy... It kind of bugs me how in movie's they ae always like "Mr. President" but they never say the president's real name... it's like erm... if your gonna do that just pretend its President Smithers or make up a name, and then how the main guy (the treasure hunter) Benjamin Franklin Gates ( played by Nicholas Cage) he always does these amazing heroic things and in the end th girl loves him. its like... erm... please? more realistic? i mean in the end everyone is happy, its like... erm, sure. like thats ever gonna happen. But there were some funny parts, of course then they stretched the joke to far and it became like complete cheese-o-rama but oh-well.... anyway its rated pg-13 and the official website is here.
