Eight Belles died at the Kentucky Derby! right on the track!!and she was SECOND so CLOSE!!!! its horrible!!!!!!! the first filly to even come CLOSE to winning for TWENTY YEARS!!! and she was running with the guys!!! the ONLY filly!!!!!
look at the picture she almost beat Big Brown and she could have!!!! her jockey said that she started galloping funny so he stopped her and they had to put
her to sleep. the last filly to win was Winning Colors, and that was like 20 years ago or something and fillies barely ever run and she died!! they had to euthanize her right on the track... poor Eight Belles.
